The media circus over whether veteran actor Paul Newman is suffering from cancer continues, following an Associated Press report quoting a friend saying he has the disease, only to deny his comments to Access Hollywood.
According to rumors, the 83-year-old is said to be terminally ill with lung cancer, however, Newman's agent Toni Howard issued a denial saying the stories were "not true," with his spokesman Jeff Sanderson adding he was "doing nicely."
A.E. Hotchner, a friend and business partner of Newman's, was quoted by The Associated Press as confirming the cancer reports saying, “I know that it’s a form of cancer. It’s a form of cancer and he’s dealing with it.”
However, Hotchner is claiming the news agency took his words out of context telling Access Hollywood, "The AP misquoted me. I have no knowledge of Mr. Newman being treated for any illness."
The Associated Press states, "We stand by our story."
"I don't listen to music." THE STRANGLERS former frontman HUGH CORNWELL makes a bizarre claim.
